Over the last few years, my partner and I always wanted to start a family. We discussed all of the different ways for us to do so. We discussed adoption, surrogacy and even fostering as they were all viable ways for two dads, same sex parents, to have children.

In August 2018, we decided to go down the surrogacy path. By going through process, we encountered every emotion possible. It was exciting, scary and stressful all at the same time.

Fast forward to November 2019 and we welcomed our little girl.

I started this blog to help other new gay parents who are looking for any advice and tips as they go through the process of becoming same sex parents. A lot of the apps and websites that we read were constantly geared towards the mother/father family structure and not ours.

As I go through this journey, I’m documenting all of our experiences. You may not agree with them and/or you may go through a variant of what we went through, but the aim is to give you some perspective and to let you know that you are not alone.

Looking forward to connecting!
